12 out of 10 level of FRUSTRATION - Help

Hi,
My question before my rant is can I plug my 240V adapter that I plug into my EQ6Pro for power straight into an HEQ5 Pro in order to run that?

In my quest to find out why PHD won't guide, not only have I reloaded program for PHD and IC Capture for the DMK, swapped with my mate shoestring GPUSB and still get the same message RA failed Star did not move enough, tried two different cables from GPUSB and still get same message, tried Phillips toucam 900 and get same message and even tried new computer and that is where the frustration levels hit the roof.

So now I am setting up a friend HEQ5Pro mount because I believe the problem lies in the guide connecter in my EQ6Pro as I honestly believe I have eliminated all the variables. THAT HAS BEEN FUN especially given the clear skies we are having here at the moment.

Can I connect my EQ6 power supply to the HEQ5Pro mount?????

Thank you

Mark :que stion::co nfused2:

I can't be sure, Mark, as I have no experience with a HEQ5, but I'd be surprised if the power supply wasn't compatible.

I can't think of anything else to suggest at this stage. I only used my hand controller once when it was new to check it worked. Ever since I've used EQMOD for control and guiding...

Hey Mark,

Are you able to set up your rig and have it connected to the scope etc and still have internet access?

If you can, then I can remote control your PC using Teamviewer and have a look at the settings for you if you like?

One time, I had tried my ST4 connector on my Atik as a guide camera and it turned off the PHD guiding settings (the north/south/auto setting went to OFF)

See if this is set to SOUTH, if this is ok, see if you can set it up and then let me know via PM and I can call you and see if I can check out the PC and check out the PHD settings....

Chris

Mark,

Same power supply.

I have notice this issue if poorly polar aligned. Having said that, I have a spare EQ6 main board you can have if you want to swap them out to try to see if that works. PM me your address
