There is going to be a reunion of current and ex-space tracking personnel, especially those who worked on the Apollo missions, Sat 20 / Sun 21 Jul 2013 at Questacon in Canberra. Anyone with an interest in space exploration is also invited to attend.
There are going to be displays with Apollo memorabilia, special screenings of "The Wonder of it All", "Live from the Moon" and "The Dish", talks about how the television broadcast got from the Moon to your TV set, all leading to a screening of the restored Apollo 11 EVA footage synchronised to be shown exactly 44 years after the event. If you missed it the first time then this is your chance to see what it was like; if your saw it the first then you can relive that experience.
