nice work , the camera seems to elongate it a bit. Are you back out for GRS soonish (10pm and onwards)

Thanks. I think you're right, there's something not quite right about it. I'm thinking it's maybe collimation, but maybe not.

I use a two step process of data capture. I feed the camera's video output into a camcorder (MiniDV digital tape) and then capture it later via firewire into the computer. I'm going to have to check the specs of the camera output against the specs of the camcorder output to see if there's any "squishing" or stretching happening there.

As for going outside tonight I better not, I've got the flu something fierce, and I have to get up early...

Hey 2020, lovely shot, now that's a Jupiter image,heaps of detail coming through. Do you have any control over saturation with the camera to boost your colour a little?
