Mars & Saturn Conjunction

Not sure if everyone is still following lil boy red and the halo'ed one. But
they are making a fine sight in a 8" f/6 newt with a wide angle 20mm ep
at present. Tomorrow they will at their closest according to my soft, and
will within the FOV of my 14mm XW ... will be something to see along
with the Jup events.

regards,CS ...now just take away the chill factor

Rob

Too much cloud cover here to see anything, btw what are the Jupiter events?, I am waiting for delivery of my 10" dob, I hope I don't miss anything, I am sick of the wobblitronic.

Europa, luna & shadow transits starting around EST16:54 and ending
EST21:21. Then after midnight starting around EST00:48 and ending
around EST03:54 you have Io doing the same thing. I wont be up for
Io events, but will definitely give Europa a look.

regards,CS

Rob

PS: If your in NZ, tomorrow morning you have the Moon occulting Uranus,
hmmm... you know, if you didn't know that was a name for a planet

Hmm....let me see.... someone tagged Jupiter, replying to a Mars & Saturn conjunction. Ya gotta love that!

It could only happen on an astronomy forum.

Cheers

Thinking of changing my name via deedpoll to UB313 ... so much easier to get personalised plates that way too!
