Ouch! Can't help you sorry SD, but welcome to the site. That is an issue with wedge mounted forks. Whai is the lowest lat you can get to with the wedge?

Welcome aboard Sirdystic,

Where is Ravenshoe?

If there is a metal fabricator there I am shore they could make a wedge that does the job, and you could sell the Meade one to cover costs.

Asimov is a metal fabricator I'll see if he will drop by next trip in his Lear Jet.

Thanks for the greet, and advice

Ravenshoe is approx 130 W of Cairns and the wedge hits the stops at 24 deg. Me,s thinking if I build a couple of ten degree wedges to go between the wedge base and the wedge arms, It would work, with just a little mod to the AZ adjuster, but I wonder what kind of extra flexure I will get at such an extreme angle of dangle ..I guess I need to find out if anyone else is suspending a heavy 14" at 17 deg...before I go to the trouble of Either as you say wedge making and selling, or the mods....

And its great to be here..
Thankyou
