Bad Day

Today would be the worst conditions I have ever tried to image in.
Seeing was all over the shop with wind and rain coming and going. I really should know better. Dropped the scope and put a great dent in the tube. The DMK 51 attached to tha3x Bar (its dead) took a major tumble about 3 feet while trying to get stuff out of the rain. Not game to plug it in yet.
I got some data but decided to see if I could get some detail in the large filaments rather than the sun surface. It should be possible the same as the Proms. I think there is some there. I will try again in better conditions. Did manage 1000 Frames for a full disc in 5/10 seeing.

Still, despite the bad conditions, I like the result very much!

Oh Ralph - sounds tragic - I am glad the DMK is OK! The images are quite good for the conditions - the disc looks great.

Stunning and inspiring stuff. Glad to hear the gear will live another day too.
