M16 Eagle Nebula (sharp setting)

Hi Guys,

Just found some unprocessed images of M16 Eagle Nebula using the sharp settings in Envisage. Consist of 19 x 84 second stacked in registax.

comments good/bad welcome

Nice image Eric, you can really make that DSI sing!
I notice that all your images are subbed at 84sec; is that because you have no guide scope? Is your EQ6 pier mounted or portable?

many thanks for your reply guys.

Doug, i normally do 1 minute 24 sec because i don't really notice any differences with my other 2 minute exposure shots. The longest exposure time without startrailing is around the 2 minute 46 sec mark but images tend to overexpose anything over that.

That was from the Optex with the DSI-C. Will be testing the new scope and DSI II shortly when the weather is good

The detail and focus you've gotten with this image is right up there with some of the best images I've seen taken with the DSI Eric. Congratulations.

How soon before you do a "How To" for Mike to post on the site. I reacon there might be a lot of closet DSI imagers out there who would love to know how you get the detail you do.

many thanks for your compliment paul . Will do a "how to" to help and assist fellow DSI owners once i get used to the DSI II
