Southern Gems by Stephen James O'Meara describes 120 southern clusters, nebulae and galaxies in detail.

The images all have the same field, 28' by 28'.
Many of these 42 objects are in the SMC (6 objects) and LMC (14 objects).
All of these 162 objects were cataloged by the
Scottish-Australian astronomer James Dunlop in 1826 using a 9" speculum reflector.
He found most of them from his backyard in Hunter St. Parramatta, NSW.
Unfortunately his house has been replaced by this six story building

Dunlop's objects are all south of declination -28 degrees.
