M17 Omega Nebula

19 x 4 min subs with the SCT 10" at Prime Focus. i.e. without the focal reducer. Might try again tomorrow night with the FR to capture more of the nebulosity away to the left of this image.

I like the colouring. However when I look at it, the focus appears soft? Am I correct or have I missed something here?

May well be. I'm spending ages trying to get e focus right, but am suspecting the mirror is shifting during the exposures. Either that or the guiding is not spot on.
