Beginner Star Trail & Short Animation Vid

Hi all,

Had the opportunity for a night at Lake Wyaralong, SE Qld, Caught up gassbagging with a BAS/Astrofest member & glimpsed through his 10" meade at some wonders (nice)
This Image is a 1st StarStax work for me, happy it came together without a hitch, tho my imaging technique leaves room for plenty improvement ? Any advise much welcomed.

Stats: 207 x 30sec, 600D with ICNR, iso 1600, 10-20mm sigma @ 10mm, F4. Taking 3 & 3/4hrs.

Also a humble 2min Vid Animation put together from the subsequent building subs ?
Hope it worth the squizz,,,

Nice work Bob, great start.

The star trails is great, however you've lost almost all of the star colour. Try increasing saturation/brightness, or ensure it's not blown out at capture.

The video is numbingly slow You need to play the frames back at minimum 24fps. Yes it means it's over quickly, but that's fine. Eventually you'll have multiple sequences to string together.

Thanx & appreciate your feedback Mike, agree & have taken it aboard, I realised I lossed color after, had noise colour up high from previous session ? Attached below is a Re-process ?
Also, Windows Movie Maker, I dont think has a 'frame rate' option as such, though I did manage speed-up by losing some frames, more in some places than others, kinda varies the speed for additional effect, Down to 28 seconds now

Cheers Ross, the Sigma 10-20mm & 10mm give close to 45degree field which fit a few more than the average lens, allows more distortion too

Nice one Bob the 2nd version looks much better! I haven't had a go at stacking star trails yet, I'll get around to it, but Mike's advice is handy to know. Well done
