Meade DSI 2 ..... .. . ... . .

Hi Guys,

Just went down to my local Bintel shop and got myself a DSI 2. I know many of you guys recommend me to get a DSLR instead of a DSI 2, let me explain. Some reasons i took into consideration are:

1) Bintel is having a 10% off

2) It is now Winter in Melbourne, and it is "freezing outside" DSI 2 I can do astrophotography indoors

3) I want to compare the differences between DSI 1 and DSI 2

4) I will get myself a DSLR at the end of the year (summer) warmer

Now i need a scope and no clouds

Thats fine Eric......Looking forward to the results.

Are you the first to have a DSI 2 on this forum..????

Just keep the focal length down on your new scope somewhere between 600-1000mm or with focal reducers........at a guess.

i saw the 8" F/4 on ebay! great buy but they wouldnt deliver pickup only. wouldnt mind getting the same scope again so i can compare with the DSI 2.
Alandee has the DSI 2 pro but with the DSI 2 single shot colour, i think im the only one

Got a question also as im looking at a scope, if there is fungus on a lense, can it be removed?
