Stellarvue SVR70ED Carbon Fibre Refractor

Hi Everyone,

I am selling my Stellarvue SVR70ED refractor. This is the lighter carbon fibre version that is no longer available. I have used this scope as a finderscope on my C11. But it would also make a great grab 'n go or guidescope. I really don't want to sell it, but I need the proceeds from the sale to pay for another scope purchase.

It comes with a butter smooth 2" rotating Crayford focuser with 10:1 tri-knob gearing. The optics are excellent with tack sharp stars and excellent contrast. Last time I did a star test, the collimation was spot on with nice concentric rings.

I have the original Stellarvue padded case and paperwork (signed by Vic Maris as the star tester). The original specs can be found here: http://www.stellarvue.com/svr70ed.html

The body is in excellent condition apart from one small scratch in the clear coat that somehow appeared last time I used it! It must have rubbed against one of the rings when I mounted it. This has no effect on the scope's performance though.

Asking price is $425 plus shipping, or best offer.

Pictures to follow.

Cheers

James

Hi James,

Do you have pics of the scope and one of the scratch?

Cheers,
Alec

Hi Alec,

The first chance I will have to get photos to you is Saturday. I will let you know when they are up.

The scope is really in excellent condition. I am thinking that the little scratch will probably come out with some gentle buffing/polishing as it has only affected the clear coat.

Stay tuned.

James

Pictures uploaded - the scratch in the clear coat is shown in the centre of the second picture from the left. The other "marks" are reflections from the flash.
