Well, after giving Jupiter a miss last night, I managed to grab a few faint fuzzies with the C9.25, Celestron F6.3 Reducer/Corrector and my old SBIG ST7E ccd camera. I’m still having some problems with an annoying oscillation in the RA axis during auto guiding, with excursions of up to ± 1.2 pixels, so unfortunately some of the stars are slightly elongated in the NGC4945 image and not as quite as tight as they could be in the others. NGC6744 is quite faint and it didn’t help that there is some quite severe light pollution in that direction from where I set up my gear in the back garden.

Thank you everyone for your nice words, they made the long imaging session worthwhile! I have a long way to go yet.
Still reading the Ron Wodaski book.
Still trying to match my pixel size to my focal length.
Still trying to understand my Tak EM200 and its oscillation.
Still learning how to process these faint fuzzies.
Still having fun!
One day, I'll get into colour like Striker, but by then, no doubt he will have moved on to H Alpha!
