And yet another M83 (must be the season)

As many others have stated, South East Queensland (or as I fondly refer to it now; South East Cloud land) has had nothing but crappy weather day after day after day after day after day .....

Sorry back to the point, we finally had a clear night so I took the opportunity to head up to Blackbutt to do some imaging.

Moon didn't set till around 12:30 AM so I took this while waiting for it set.

5 * 10 Minute ISO 400 subs on the CDS-600D.
No darks, flats or bias frames.
Stacked in DSS and processed in PS CS5.

I think I will have to have another crack at this next new moon to see if I can get better data.

The Lagoon was taken at around 4 AM this morning as was just a last ditch effort before sunrise while I had a sleep.

My word was is it good to get out and finally do some imaging.

Cheers and thanks for looking.

Anthony

Both look nice, stars could be a bit tighter, so something to work on.
I'll stick my neck out and suggest they are both a tad red to me as well??
You're right though, always good to be out, especially after a batch of less than ideal weather.

Hi Anthony,

Nice image. You have got some nice detail in there. Maybe a tad red but I think that has added to the image.

Cheers
