I barlowed my 90mm APO and got an OAG fitted to see what I could get away with. I used a Baader FFC. Using a corrector on top of the barlow, I was at x4 which was impractical. I found that getting rid of the corrector worked well at high magnification and I didn't need it. So I managed to barlow at x3 (1800mm FL) and fitted the OAG with a Lodestar.
My guiding was still pretty bad. So chonky stars. Potatoes or mushrooms

. Take your pick. Been doing wide field for too long and I need to get back into it.
I still managed to get some cool fields with a good image scale and some details. Once I have worked out the mount I'll be ok to do some interesting close ups.
Camera used was QHY9 with a Baader LUM filter. Here's the results with warts and all.
Eta is 4 panels stitched of 10x2min each, calibrated and stacked.
Big one
here with a 1:1 insert of the keyhole. [1.7MB]
Orion is 9x1min. I also grabbed some color I had from a similar shot with newt couple of years ago and tried to blend the new Lum in.
Bigger ones
here and color
here.
That's it for this week. Better than nothing with the weather

.
Thanks for looking.
