13 panel mosaic, Sco-Crux-Ori.

Hi,

Here's an image I've dreamt of doing for quite a while, but it seemed to hard until using Microsoft ICE to stitch the images together.

I used the Canon 1100D ,18 to 75 zoom at 18mm f/4, ISO 3200, single 30 sec subs.

Now I know it works I can do some longer exposures, but 30 sec works well for showing the constellations.

Cheers,

Justin.

Hey, that's a nice image Justin, especially for single 30 sec subs! Orion, Crux / pointers & Eta Carina all stand out well.

Thanks David!

Enjoyed making this image, so much less frustration using ICE to stitch the images.

Cheers,

Justin.

Interesting technique and works well for a wider field with better res this way, multiple stacked esposures would be even more interesting, but a bit more work as u know.
