That field rotation thing bears some though for the planets though.

Nice work John! I broke one of my own rules today and tried some white light imaging, even though the jet stream wasn’t ideal over Brisbane, although by the look of the map, it worsened the further N you got.

I found that it was quite good at times up until around 9:30am and then it dropped off quite quickly.

Thanks chaps. Actually Dennis I was out there @ 8:30AM in poor seeing, then @ 8:45 someone threw the magic switch & the seeing was incredible for awhile...Pity I was imaging with the Ioptron Alt Az & got a heap of field rotation...

Yes I was waiting for some students from a near by school to arrive ( Iwill post separately) and was trying too get some data and it was hopeless, truly. I went inside for 20 minutes and when I came back it was as if someone turned the switch. Will have to process later.
