Saturn 2nd april

Hi,

haven't done planetary work for what seems like ages.
I had honestly forgotton how hard it is, particularly simple things like getting focus when you've got a 5x powermate attached to your DSLR - good luck slewing to a star to get focus and coming back to the planet again! And then, there's the processing. I seriously don't know how you guys get such great images time after time

Average seeing, colour needs some work, a bit of fringing around the rings, but hey, its my first one of the season. Hoping to get some more time in over the coming month.

Skywatcher 12" goto, canon 600d (modified), 5x powermate, video @ 33fps (magic lantern), Registax 6, Astra Image and CS6.

Cheers,

Rusty

Its a start Rusty and far better to be out using your gear than not, onward & upward.
