Todays Sun in CaK

A short break in the clouds allowed a few pics with the 80mm and 100mm refractors using the Lunt CaK B1200 wedge.Used the Gstarex camera.

That gear is delivering a fair punch in K-Cal Derek.

Nice ... after having foolishly sold my CaK scope, I had to wait 7 months for another CaK...albeit B1800 module... replacement.

It finally arrived yesterday

Peter I will be interested in how your module goes.Mine has what seems like lots of internal dust bugs only evident once you crank up the mag and hence the need for flats at 3x or greater mag.

I think you'll find it's your ccd's cover-slip.... not the filter...as I get he same when using small exit pupils......but to be sure..rotate the camera while looking at the image. The location of any motes will become obvious.
