The Ballarat Boys, again

Well here we are again, the Ballarat Boys, plus our new friend "Terry" from Melton, about 40 minutes away.
Good afternoon had by all, over a coffee, and scones, jam and cream.

Terry said he would grow some wiskers before our next meeting...

Yep, it was a great way to spend an afternoon. Thanks Leon, and good to meet you Terry.

Terry's new 12" is all ready for action. All he needs is some sky!!!!

Gee the wind was cold but we still enjoyed sussing out Leon's curve thread Equatorial drive platforms. They are works of art!
And talk about a small world. I arrived at Leons to find out I know his better half, Alice!!! (she doesn't have whiskers LOL)

P.S. I didn't have any scones with jam & cream!!!!
I had the chocolate cake

Hey the picture was posted even before i got home
I had a great time meeting up and having a chance to check out Leon`s yard full of goodies. I can see what it is to put time and effort into a project if the final product is as good as these.
Ken bought along some of his equipment and we had a chance to talk and find out some of the interests and goals of each other.
Ken showed me some fixes for my Dob and the way to collimate in just a few minutes.
Ballarat lived up to its reputation weatherwise and the coffee and scones from Alice were most welcome.

Ahem, you didn't serve COFFEE with jam, cream and scones...surely not. A pot of English tea is de rigueur for these occasions.

Tut tut tut, gentlemen from Ballarat.

Nice to put faces to the online names!

Good to hear you've acquired the scope now - they're good fun aren't they?.
