Gso collimator help

Hello
I have owned a gso collimator for a couple of years and the original lr44 batteries have died. So after replacing them the collimator doesn't work? I have tried over 8 different lr44 batteries with the same result. I rang Andrews where I purchased it from but they didn't have an answer either? Has anyone had a similar problem?
Regards Paul

Every so often it's a good idea to clean out where the batteries sre kept. Do this with a cotton bud dampened with some Iso alcohol or contact cleaner. Make sure the replacement batteries don't have any fingermarks on the contact surfaces and are put in correctly.
The switch could also switched on and off vigorously in case any oxidiation is present.
Cheers!
