At about 10:30pm it's due to go behind the tree!

Clouds and jetstream are 2 other problems to worry about.

How do you know the GRS is coming around at a certain time?

Hi Jupiter,

You can copy a free program off of the internet called Jupiter2, which will inform you on transits and eclipses of the 4 moons and GRS information.

I haven't found the program yet, but I did discover that it will transit at 10:31 pm, which is what David posted, thanks for the help Lester.

Seeing is quite poor in Brisbane tonight, so I'm off to hunt some galaxies with the ST7 and C9.25, so the ToUcam can have the night off and stay in its box!

Good luck to those with clear skies and good seeing for the GRS and Io.

Cheers

Dennis

everything less than 1 degree and the viewing thru the eyepiece is very nice. Can't split antares though...... I am wondering if the markings on the mirror are causing many mini diffraction patterns???

Congrats Dave, hope you got something useful.

I got clouds and rain.

Jupiter, do a search in the "Tips & Techniques" forum for "Jupiter" and you'll find a link to the program. It's great.
