Barry the moon looks great through your eye piece and iphone, love all that detail, very crisp and sharp

yeah I was kinda surprised myself and that was with the wind buffeting the scope. Orion there was with nightcap app, 1 sec exp, moon not far away. will try saturn later.

do you have a special mount for the phone or just hand held, I've tried it before and its tricky finding that sweet spot. Definately an effective way to capture what you see and wow your mates!

I just copied that image into my iPhone and hit edit magic wand and it really brings out the core, have you tried it? Give it a go

Wow you just opened up a whole new universe, that's really good!. I was about to try the jewell box but trees are in the way now and the suns coming up, have another go tonight.
I reckon the Iphone 8 will probably be able to drive the scope out to a dark site by itself, set it up and send back perfectly processed images down to mag 30.
