Has a thread been started already from this latest report from CERN?

There are a couple of threads on the Higgs Boson theory in the science thread but they haven't been active for a few months.

At any rate with the new pope we will have to go along with the church's creation theory as in the bible for a while else we may get ex-communicated.

Physicists said on Thursday they BELIEVE they have discovered the sub-atomic particle predicted nearly half a century ago, which will go a long way toward explaining what gives electrons and all matter in the universe size and shape.

I thought "believe" belongs to religion domain not to science.

well a Google search for "science believe" gives us About 757,000,000 results while "religion believe" gives us About 330,000,000 results. I believe , "believe" really dose belong to the science domain. That's if you believe Google

Higgs bosun is a theory about a supposed particle that is the map for matter. It is put forward in a attempt to find why we exist (or do we). However there is a much more important feature in our area that it doesn't explain and that is why the sky clouds over whenever we buy a new telescope.

And as for beliefs most people seem ready to believe anything if some monetary return is going to be forthcoming!
