Saturn March 7th good seeing

Hi All,

Imaged Saturn this morning in good seeing over a 90 minute session. There are several bright spots within the NEB which show up nicely in my animations.
The Hexagon is rather well defined as is the vortex within it at the North Pole.

Thanks for looking.

Regards
Trevor

Really top quality images Trevor.

Isn't it a nice feeling when the video feeds get that creamy smooth look and you can see fine detail in there, even in the blue channel..

regards Ray

Thanks very much Ray, yep, a real pleasure to watch good data stream in. I had a dry run early in the evening to see if I could rotate my filter wheel. They left just enough of my fingers out of the cast to do it. Strewth, it hurts, reckon it pulls on the grafted ligament or the wires that are suppose to support it. When I was capturing this data though, didn't feel any pain at all. Six weeks to go before the cast comes off and the wires are removed.

Spectacular work on polar details, exagon is very clear in detail.
One of best image I have seen considering Saturn opposition is not yet close.

Hi Trevor,

Fantastic images.

What sort of software gets that Nth pole view thingy going on, really cool!

Cheers,

Damien.

Thanks very much Damien, I use WinJUPOS to do the polar projections, it is a very handy piece of software and is freeware.

Crikey mate, that's NICE data! I can't even get one night cloud free let alone nice seeing - Totally envious but at the same time I'm so glad for you. My turn will come but I'm starting to think maybe next apparition..
