PHD not Connecting to QHY-5

Hi all,
I recently purchased a QHY-5 for guiding from Theo @ gama. I seem to be having an issue with either the camera not connecting to PHD or the camera not connecting to the mount?

In PHD
First i click the "Connect Camera" and select ASCOM, then QHY5 shows up on the list, so i select it.
I then select "Mount" and choose the option "On Camera"
nothing happens, I have also noticed that the power indicator for QHY-5 is off..
I have even tried the manual guiding option, and the mount does not move.
very confused!

i tested the camera with QGvideo and it works fine, and i can see an image, and the indicator light on the back of the QHY-5 is on.

I have installed all the drivers in order, how they appeared in Theos instructions, ive checked and rechecked to make sure that the USB is plugged in and that the ST4 cable is in the austoguide port on the mount. I have also looked through the CGEM menu' for anything to do with enabling the autoguide port, nothing found.

any help would be greatly appreciated

That's a tough one. Do you get an image in PHD when you loop? I the red light is off at the back it's not looping.
You're saying that the mount doesn't move. Can you move the mount manually from the PC. Have you tried ASCOM for the mount to rule out any cabling?

I just figured out what it was, and it was a completely stupid oversight.
I didnt press the loop button on PHD which turns the camera on...

Thanks Marc for the input, your comment engaged the grey matter in my brain.
