Backyard wildlife

Hi all,

I'm still yet to find a gap in the clouds that will let me get a glimpse of Comet Panstarrs, but I have managed a few images of some of the wildlife in my suburban Brisbane backyard. Here's a selection from the last couple of weeks.

1. Eastern Sedgefrog
2. Variable Ladybird
3. Planthopper?
4. Green tree snake in my bamboo
5. Scaly-breasted lorikeet feeding on golden penda.

The first 4 were taken with my Tamron 90 macro with lighting from a 430 Ex II speedlight, and #5 was with the 70-200 f/4L.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Stephen

A fantastic set and variety Stephen – you have a prolific back yard for wildlife! My favourites are the frog and Lorikeet.
