Mates at the ready.

Just a quick note to say thanks to the Mates that helped me today.
Last night during the rain and wind, one of my own trees fell into my own backyard.

I couldn't see it properly last night, so I got up early this morning to check it out and first thought I could get stuck into it and remove it on my own.

After a couple of hours on my own, and only just able to remove half the
canopy foliage, I changed my mind.
So I then decided to email and text some mates to see if they could come around and help.
Within 3/4 hour, there was 5 of them at the door, with chainsaws etc. ready to offer some lame jokes and also assist.

After only about 3 hours, the tree was cut up, branches stacked, logs were split ( ready for next winters fire ) and foliage was taken down to the road and laid out for a council pick up.
The yard was even raked clean by my neighbour.
They left after I made coffee for all of them.
So THANKS to all you mugs, my only day off for the week was not a total disaster....

Cheers.

Glad it all worked out and you got help Geoff.
We lost our land line for three day a few weeks ago due to a tree.
Two weeks ago we were without power for three days due to a tree taking out two power poles.
Now this week we are without power again due to the latest storms in the area taking out another two poles.
Doesn't look like we'll get power back till mid-week.

I've got limited internet using my wifi hotspot just barely getting signal.

Hot to see you soon mate.

One of the best things about being an Aussie are these types of mates.

When the chips are down (pun intended) is usually when people pitch in to help.

Great mates you're got there.

Cheers Peter
