Markarian's Chain

I had to take my revenge on Markarian's Chain

My first attempt was this (with a DSLR): http://skymonsters.net/immagine.php?img=Markarian.jpg
That was OK, but I left it monochrome as I couldn't dig out the color enough.

When I got the CCD, I decided to give it again a try with an LRGB and I start to be satisfied at last.

That's sharp & clear Nicola - another fine image.
At 61° in Italy you have a better view than here
where it only reaches 38°.
I would still like to try this target.

cheers
Allan

Lovely capture ! I like how the chain appears to curve off into space. The Universe is Big ...Really big ! (to quote Douglas Adams)

Gotta be honest Nicola, every time I come here to the deep space section, I just have to look at this image once. Great work!

Stunning work Nicola.
Your website seems to be down. I was interested in seeing the comparison between the DSLR and CCD.
