I hope nobody is overwhelmed by all the lemon freshness!
I managed to find the 'magic' set of parameters to get something decent out of the data I acquired on Friday. The secret seems to be very tight clipping criteria (I used 1.5 s.d.) and a minimum combination when stacking the comet nucleus aligned images. This worked a lot better than the generally recommended median method.
The frame of this image is nearly three degrees wide, and as well as the disruption Justin pointed out, there seems to be a much earlier one on the extreme left of the field.

I have a set of data from Sat night with very similar framing and FOV (though not as good!) but just couldn't get it to work well. I'm a total noob when it comes to stacking and processing! Might give your suggestions a go in AA. Cheers!
