Another Lemmon!

Hey all, haven't posted on here in a long time, so I thought I'd share my humble attempt of this wonderful object. It's the first time I've ever seen a comet.. good stuff!

It was 20 x 35s exposures with a similar amount of darks on a 550D, 110mm refractor, orion guiding thingo, EQ6 mount, stacked in DSS, polished in PS yada yada. Kept it in the middle as things get a bit funny around the edges with this POS scope devoid of a flattener

For the life of me I just couldn't get the guiding to work in this part of the sky, very odd. Ahh well. It was the first time I'd been able to coerce the mount to have a decent conversation with the 'puter though (eqmod et al) which was nice. Hooray random button pressing!

Anyway thanks a lot for looking and keep 'em coming!

Tom

Nice one Tom!

A challenge for sure imaging close to the pole.
If you go into your brain setup, and change calibration steps from 750 default to a higher rate 1500 to 2500 the mount will aquire stars closer to the pole.
Even then you may have to aquire a star at -60 dec, calibrate then move back.

Cheers,

Justin.
