Do you hear the people sing?

Singing the song of angry men?

Les Miserables was great. I'm so surprised at it, I was expecting crap but got gold.
Even the Gladiator signing show tunes was good.
I've done it twice now and at 2.5hours a shot it's an epic.
Beats the hobbit by a dwarf and a half at least 0

But, I think Borat was the star of the flic

My wife and I enjoyed seeing it. It didn't seem that long I was so engrossed.

I'd seen it on stage in Sydney - many years ago. SWMBO hadn't. It was comparable, but I don't think Russ' voice really suited the part of Javert.

Any longer and it would have needed a bathroom break.

Geez Andrew they are all getting up there time wise.
Even the new Denzel Washington movie 'Flight' is 2Hrs20min.

They call it a mystery thriller (drama), but not out in cinemas till the end of the month.

I'm not one for musicals but was captivated from start to finish with this film. All in all a great effort from all the cast

Loved it! I was surprised that they changed it from the musical in many parts, and they did it to agree more with the book! You don't see that sort of thing very often. I wish they had done that a bit more with some of the Fantine scenes, but I'll take what I get.

Hugh Jackman was brilliant, and I loved the touch of having Colm Wilkinson as the bishop. I have to admit that I was disappointed with Russell Crowe as Javert. Not because of his acting (which was excellent), but he just doesn't have the power in his voice that I think Javert needs.

Overall though, it's a keeper.
