Just bought myself an Orion Accufocus unit.

Hiyas,

I have just bought myself an Orion Accufocus focusing unit from bintel.. to help me with my focusing on the 8" scope. I willl be connecting it to my JMI NGF-DX1 Crayford focuser, Has anyone ever done this before?

Should arrive sometime next week.

More cloud on the way......sorry guys.

hey Andrew,

I just fitted one to my 8" newt, and it works great, don't no how it will go with a Grayford Focuser though, as you need at least 8mm of shaft to attach the unit too. It has very smooth operation.

*mm of shaft hey hmmmmm is that length of diameter, the shaft I have is 4.8mm in diameter and can go upto 20mm in length (goes from 4.5mm, 6mm and 20mm) With the spacers removed. It wont take much to make a little sleeve to go over the focus arm.
