SM40 Double Stacking Question

Last year I purchased a Solarmax SM40 40mm Double Stack external etalon with T-Max Tuner (manufactured/shipped in November 2010). This is a SM40 external etalon with T-Max Tuner that came with a BF-15 Blocking Filter which was kept by the seller.

I am now interested in a Solarmax SM40 Scope that has come up for sale which the seller states is around the 2010 era.

Can I use the Solarmax SM40 40mm Double Stack external etalon with T-Max Tuner to double stack onto the Solarmax SM40 Scope or do the two etalon elements need to be match at the factory?

Hans,
They don't have to be factory matched.
I use a double stack of SM60 filters on the front of my ED80.
Tuning is a bit fiddly, but when you understand the principle, it works very well!
