pulse guiding

hi everyone im having problems with my guiding setup i have brought a new laptop win 7 64 bit with latest ascom drivers. when i plug the cable in to my synscan hand controller in the stars start moving faster and when i unplug it i get nice round star i have tryed ever setting in ascom settings. never had any problems with old laptop and the older ascom drivers can some help me please

It sounds like your tracking for the northern hemisphere, i would be checking that out first, if thats not it then sidereal tracking isn't on.
