Big Jupiter 22 May
Hi everyone,
I tried tonight with 2x barlow and small extention tube in the 14" SCT. Any bigger and Jupiter would not fit on the screen. Seeing conditions were only 4/10= in and out of focus. Out of focus more than in focus. This is a test just to see if more detail is captured when the image is spread over more pixels. I was surprised how well the image processed.
captured at 5fps brightness=50% gamma=35 exposure=1/10 gain=40
I will try and post a smaller version taken tonight with out the extention tube as a comparison.

Finished 'the box' BTW...I'm pretty popular with the neighbours me thinks...nothing like the sound of a 9" grinder & a jigsaw at 11:30 under my carport to get the obscenities flowing!
The straps had me beat though, I'll be making some at work tomorrow.

Hope you show us Jupiter without onions is like BBQ without sauce.
GRS begins tonight at 9pm, no moon transits though. Now you will have the mount done in your lunch hour.
