Cheap temperature control for Dew strap or cooler

I've been designing and prototyping a cooling system for my DSLR and I found these cheap thermostats on fleabay that might interest the average DIYer. $13 for a 12v thermostat with a sensor. should be good for Dew straps and coolers.

I've bought one to give it a go, there's a lot of talk on home brew forums about them so I decided to see how it goes with my TEC 'Coldfinger'. Stand by for a review

Yep that's the ticket. These are pretty good for price, however they are a "relay control thermostat" thus they are either on or off.

Thus you will see some variations in temperature, with maybe some hysteresis creep. That said I used one an managed a sine cycle of +/_ 1 degree C so it is reasonably good.

Would like to see your results..keep em coming!

edit:
Meant to say for others, be careful of the ratings and specs of these controllers when ordering. Some are powered by AC, some 12VDC, some 10A switching capable some 5A, some only work from 0 C upwards some only work to -5C.....etc etc So ensure the specs on the device before buying.
