Another Melbourne Cup entry....

Inspired by John and Steve's excellent thoroughbreds..I decided to target that part of the sky on what is a rare event of late....clear skies

My mere 45 minute offering can be seen here but will be built upon should more clear nights bless Sydneytown..

Thanks Steve, I think it will smooth out considerably with about 4 hours.
That said, I'm quite pleased with the pristine stars to the edge.

Best I have ever goten on the HH - mine was 1hr 05 minutes through a Vixen FL102S refractor, using a DSLR...

I plan on building on it. Tonight MAY be good. I'd like 2 hrs minimum on it.

Thanks Laurie.... must admit it would have taken 3 hours to get the same flux with my AP155.

Decided to play with the data a bit.... here is a 60% sized crop

AP really have done a great job with these optics
