Sun 8th January

Yesterday's Sun, almost overhead, in pretty good seeing. Both images cropped and resized from a single photo, Canon EOS 600D, 12" SkyWatcher Dobsonian, Baader Solar filter.

Nice work Tom – there’s some good detail in the solar granulation and sunspot structures, especially for a single frame shot!

How did you manage the heat stress – phew!
