First Moon Shoot

Hi all,

Here is one of my first Moon shots taken with my new Meade 8" SCT and Canon 1100D attached to the focus. Camera set to 1/125, ISO 100. There was thin cloud around at the time.

I processed the RAW image in Canon's DPP and exported to JPEG.

Seems I have a dust mark on the telescope lens

The nutters would love your photo. Post it on youtube. Don't mention the speck of dust and you can start a whole new wave of conspiracy theories.

An Astronomer....you will be popular.

Thanks all, I ventured into shooting 47 Tuc a few nights ago and was pleasantly surprised with the performance of the Canon 1100D. I'll post when I can.

I didn't see the "UFO" in those frames

Cheers,
Stacy.
