Saturn Dec 16 UT

My first Saturn for this season. Was at pretty low elevation, and the seeing is never good early in the morning at my location, so the main purpose was to experiment with capture settings on the camera.

I'm reasonably pleased with this for a start. Boy, shooting in colour is so much less hassle!

C11 + TV 2.5x PowerMate + DBK21AU618.AS.

Yes nice start Ivan. It'll be awhile before I can shoot it; damned trees!

Very nice Saturn for so early on in the season!

Some good seeing might be heading to Melbourne!?

Yes, well the real show is in April/May next year, but of course I know the reality is we want to shoot as soon as we possibly can!

Maybe so. The jetstream prediction for last night/this morning was actually pretty bad, but the seeing wasn't so bad, so who knows?

My philosophy: get out there regardless, and Good luck!
