IC 1805 (Heart nebula)

I posted this one in Ha a while back and finally managed to get some colour for it. Would have liked to get more RGB data to match the amount of Ha but time did not permit. In any case I'm reasonably happy with the result.

Cheers

Steve

I can't believe that 17 people have viewed what I think is a really great image and nobody has even passed a comment. Really nicely composed and processed to bring out all the detail Steve.
Well done and thanks for posting.

Nice image, Steve. Worked out well even if you didn't get all the RGB you wanted!

Thanks Rick, Trevor and Allan for the really nice comments. I still think the image needs a bit more work though after having a look at some of the other versions on the web.

Very beautiful image. No chance to me. Too much north, only 3 degrees of elevation

Thanks Jorge. Yes - you need a scope in another hemisphere for this one.

Thanks Larry. Don't know which version you saw because I've been playing around a lot with this one.

Contrast is a little high for my liking Steve, but, hey, I'm being picky...as I'm in the same mindset as picking between the BMW or Merc...

Nice one

Thanks Peter. Yes - I think you are right about the contrast so I tweaked that and did a few more things to hopefully improve it. I'm told that this object looks best in narrowband but unfortunately this scope doesn't have NB filters.

A beautiful picture. I believe that its characteristic is the contrast has its charm.
Cheers,

Hi Steve

Nice work.....contrast seems a little heavy handed for my liking though.

Thanks Louie. I've now gone back and fixed the contrast issue I think.
