I have an tube for an 8" telescope... it is glav steel 10" in diameter and about 1.5m long, it was my first telescope a 8" F/7.2 from astro-optical in sydney brought in 1988, it would suit your need for a 8" F/5 no problem, I also have the spider & mirror cell plus the 8" F/7.2 mirror & matching secondary with a 2" low profile focuser..
Let me know if you want any or part of it, as am keen to sell it to make room, its not been used anymore after 20years of use, I bulit a new 16" F/4.5 (Mark Suchting Mirror) obession dob with argo-navis and stellaCat coming soon, let me know if this is of any help to you.
