Good beginner friendly event this Fri or Sat, 14/15th?

Hi guys,

Is there a good beginner friendly event happening around Sydney this Fri or Sat? I'm keen to get my new (and first) scope out and let it see new (and first) light.

Any recommendations appreciated!

Update: Doh, should have put "Sydney" in the post title :S

If the weather stays fine, there is a gathering at the Pony Club at Mangrove Mountain (Central Coast) this Saturday.

We would normally get between 5-20 scopes up there, and everyone up there is happy to share their light around.

There is a thread in this section about it. Regular updates are posted on the day, as to whether it will be on or not. So if not, it will save you a trip.

Also, there is a sticky at the top of the section, with instructions on how to get there.

You're certainly welcome to come along. Hopefully, we will see you there.
