DSO's and colour perception

Hi all
After much waiting, I finally got the scope out on tuesday. I had guests over that night who were really keen on looking through the scope. If you guys notice, the orion nebula is always a hit when showing it off to people who never look through a scope
I only ever see M42 as green, with hints of violet. My brother sees it as blue, but what really surprised me was that my colourblind uncle sees it as COMPLETELY red! But we all see PN's as blue-green, exept my colourblind uncle who sees them as grey

I'd be interested to hear how you percieve DSO's that are known to show colour
