Jupiter May 1st with Saxon 8inch MC

Gday

This is my first post to what is the most informative astronomy site on the web!!

May the 1st saw me take the relatively new Saxon 8 inch Maksutov-Cassegrain to Baringhup Vic. The weather was fickle, time was at a premium so many shortcuts were taken!

This is my 4th go at Jupiter.

Images taken with a Toucam (no barlow). Sorry image looks lumpier on-screen for some reason

regards
ron

Hi Ron!

to the site, and a great first image to start with.

How did you process it?

It looks like it could do with an RGB align in Registax.. when you get to the wavelet tab, click the "RGB Shift" and then "Estimate". You'll be surprised at the difference.

Look forward to seeing more from you!

Thanks

Thanks for the welcome!

I can see what you mean about the channel align..I think I may have had the processing area misaligned...oops!

and Ron. Alway happy to have another imager in the crowd. Nice 4th image. I look forward to seeing more shots from your Mak. There are a few Mak owners around here but I don't seem to recall many of them posting images.

I could be mistaken and I'm sure I'll be corrected if I am
