Dark place outside Adelaide

Hey Guys,

I'm yet to take my scope out and try it out in the dark, and have some time tonight. So weather depending I want to make a little trip out of Adelaide.

Does anyone know any place that isn't too far away and is a good place to set up? I'd rather not camp out as I hurt my back at work yesterday, so the closer the better.

Cheers lads,
Andrew

Hi Andrew, perhaps consider waiting until it is nearing new moon. Going out of town now would be fairly worthless when the moon is so bright in the night sky.

In the mean time perhaps consider joining the Astronomical Society of South Australia. We have several observing sites which are available to members.

Ah, good thinking Paul, I completely forgot about the moon. I might just set up shop in my back yard again

I'll have a look into joining up. Sounds like a great idea

Cheers
