What phase of the moon?

Hi guys

With the moon on the wane (yeyyy!) i was wondering, what would you consider a good phase to start imaging at, without getting a washed out image, i know a big part of this is the height of the moon in the sky, and now its looking quite low down.

what do you think? and i am talking about resonable exposures here, say about 10 mins.

last quarter? now?

ta!
