No, this is for modified webcams, Meade LPI or NexImage type cameras.

Just a question. If you dont have an LPI or other meade artifice, do you need to burden the hard-drive with another 20Mb of useless programming. I use a modded webcam and I guess that I dont need the extra burded just to autoguide. If I need to add all the extra then I'll stay with version 1.3.30 or guidedog. But it would be nice to have serial control of DSLR. I might ask Matthias about this.

At a guess I would say no, from what I understand, this extra programing, DirectX and .Net are only used with the Meade stuff. I am going to try and just load the Meade LPI drivers without having to load all the other useless parts of the Autostar suite, maybe the author can advise.

User Reports
I ran this software on the bench with no probs but it casued grief under the stars which eventuated in a BSOD with my scope slewing... Of course I use an LPI and had set up to use direct X, I have sent the details to Matthias who is, as always, very responsive and appreciative of feedback. Please do make sure you send him your results both good and bad. Off my soapbox now...anyone out there sticking with v1.5? What guidecamera do you use? I am seriously thinking of dumping the LPI.

Hello everyone,
version 1.6. of Guidemaster is online. Thank's for all the feedback I got.
Following changes are made form version 1.5 to 1.6:
* VFW possible without DirectX and without DotNet (DirectX and DOTNet 2.0 or DotNet 1.1 are only necessary if you want to use DirectX capture devices, like the longexposure mode of the LPI Camera)
* Bugfixes for DirectX (e.g. LPI), COM Ports and ASCOM
* Delay after slew for ASCOM implemented
* Improved darkframe subtraction
* DLSR control via COM Ports
* French languagefile
* Separation of "Lock" and "Guide" possible
* Check if COM ports are available
@Allan:
Com port support for DLSR cams should be implemented now. Please sent me feedback on this feature, I wasn't able to test this.
Best regads,
Matthias
