DSLR Focus Problem

G'day All

Anybody heard from Chris Venter (DSLR Focus) lately?

Paid for DSLR Focus last week online and I have not heard a thing!

Looks like I may have been ripped off, sent a couple of follow up emails without reply.

Anybody else had any issues buying this product?

If he doesn't want to support the program anymore fair enough, but take the website down and stop accepting payments!

Very disappointed!

Anybody got any good and reasonably priced alternatives for remote and bulb control for canon eos from a computer?

Cheers Gav

I haven't seen any "real" activity with that software.
The current choice seems to be APT or Backyard EOS. Both seem to work very well.

Yep,

+1 for Backyard EOS is a ripper, even has a trial version before you buy.

It pretty much has it all.

Give it a go.

Cheers

I am sure he is around. Perhaps he is on holidays. I doubt there is a problem and its just bad timing. Try a PM off his name on some thread here.

Greg.

G'day Greg

Fair call, I guess we all deserve a holiday (as my wife keeps reminding me!).

I will give him another week or so. Already downloaded Backyard EOS and will have a look at that as well.

Anybody know Chris's Member Login User Name? This is so I can send him a PM.

Cheers

Gav

Carlos, thanks for the recommendation on Backyard EOS I have downloaded to trial and look forward to how it will fair.

Simon, thanks for the link it made some interesting reading. I have now sent Chris a PM, it looks like he might be on holiday or away perhaps. As his last activity online on IIS was on the 17 Oct. So still hoping he will come through with a key.

Thanks

Problem Solved

G'day All

Chris contacted me yesterday via email and I now have my key. Thank you Chris.

I haven't tested the software yet but look forward to giving it a go.

Thanks to everyone else who assisted/commented and I now also have Backyard EOS to play with.

Cheers

Gav
